Privacy
Your Privacy Matters
All film processed by LA Film Lab is treated with care from start to finish, and this includes the privacy of your images. While it is necessary for lab technicians to review and optimize each photo, we assure you that your images will never be shared beyond the walls of our lab unless you have explicitly given us permission to do so. We will never publish nude or implied nude photos with any remotely recognizable faces, body marks, or other identifying attributes including anything close-up (even if you give us permission to share your images upon checkout) without receiving signed releases and photo IDs from those pictured before publishing in order to protect against unwanted publication of sensitive images. Without this confirmation, you can rest assured we will only publish images, with your permission, that may reasonably be considered non-sensitive. We err strongly on the side of caution at all times when it comes to sensitive imagery. We do report criminal activity when suspected, and we comply with law enforcement requests when presented with the proper warrants. Outside of these exceptions, we do not share images.
A Secure Network
We utilize a high-speed, private network to store and deliver all images. The network is only utilized by our technicians so that your privacy is put first and foremost. Drives are encrypted and in a secure location. All files are deleted no less than 30 days after your order date. For the most sensitive projects, you may send us a data deletion request via email, which will result in us deleting your files immediately after delivering them to you. If you choose to do this, we are not responsible for providing your files to you again without a rescan (and subsequent charges).
Personal Data Is Personal
We do not sell or share your private data with anyone. Here it is in plain English: the only time we may share your data is when we need to provide a company with such details to provide our services to you as you have requested. For example, for shipping your negatives back to you, people that work for such shipping companies will naturally see some of your information such as name, address, phone, email, etc.
